An award to recognize the individual volunteer who has given the most of themselves and who best exemplifies the values of Long Island PAL Youth Lacrosse was presented for the first time this year. The inaugural "Harold J. Jacobs Service to PAL Youth Lacrosse Award" was awarded to Harry Jacobs himself this month!
Harry has done so much for the game of lacrosse and for kids on Long Island. He has been involved with PAL and youth lacrosse on Long Island since 1975 in many various roles (too many to list here!) He has meant so much to many of us and is so valuable to USA Lacrosse, PAL Lacrosse, and the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation that having this award named after him is only fitting.
Harry sets the bar high for volunteerism in youth lacrosse and for being an example of what it means to give back to the game.
Congratulations, Harry, and many, many thanks for all you've done and continue to do.
